Anna DeFrees

Anna DeFrees is a versatile costume and fiber artist with a background in cosplay and a passion for historical costuming. Educated at Colorado State University with a BA in Theatre with a Concentration in Costume Design and Technology, Anna aims to never stop learning new skills and techniques.

Shows Anna worked on as a Costume Designer include CSU's Men on Boats, directed by Wesley Longacre, and Into the Woods, directed by Noah Racey. Anna also acted as an Assistant Costume Designer on CSU's Fairview, Costume Designed by Stephanie Nguyen.

Anna has also had the opportunity to work as a stitcher in the CSU costume shop, which produces the costumes for 8-10 shows per year including plays, musicals, operas, and dance concerts.

Achievements include the ACTF Region 7 National Design Excellence - Honorable Mention in Costume Design for Men on Boats and an ACTF Meritorious Achievement for Costume Design on CSU's Into the Woods.
